Thankful Thursday

To Our Blogging Family...

We are so Thankful for good friends and our new blogging family! You have helped in making our situation bearable and for your constant words of encouragement I am truly grateful.
 Adjusting to any health problem is hard, but doing it with friends is so much easier. This week I have also been going through a bout of Fibro flare-up.  A new doctor explained... the Fibro can be the reason why  I'm having problems with my eyes.
  Believe me, he opened my eyes to 'all' the symptoms of this disease and to my surprise...I have a great number of them. I no longer have to keep visiting my family doctor to get the same answers...my symptoms will be with me until I'm gone...there are no cures!
  
  I'm sick of all the meds that I've been given over the years to no avail. I am now determined to live the best way I can and to keep a stiff-upper-lip!  Relying on the Lord now has new meaning to me!

Kitty & My Eye Appointments

 Hello Everyone,
  Daun here posting today to update you...Miss Kitty finally got over her temper tantrum...she was so upset with mom. She has been a bit aloof and now spending her time sleeping on her window perch.
  
  Mom is coping with her situation however, she didn't get a good report from doc yesterday. The results from her appt. with the specialist did not show any change in her eye. The first time it happened she had her sight back, corrected on its own, in two weeks.
  
  Unfortunately, it will not happen this time. With her being diabetic it could very well stay in this condition. She's doing well with learning how to recognize which item is the real one (her right eye, trying to explain for you to get an idea of what I'm saying) doesn't move at all, this causes her to see everything double in that eye. Her being able to adjust so quickly is very good according to all her doctors. 
  
  I am so proud of her because she always adjust endures  anything that happens to her and remains happy and upbeat! You will never know she's going through health problems unless you just know it.
  They have told her to limit her use of her sight to only necessary daily usage. The compute is not one of those usage so, I will be taking care of this, but she will be here to tell me what she wants done. 
  
    I will set a time in my schedule so I can visit you (I've started back to work and school is not dismissed until late afternoon.) We will let you know what we plan to do but in the meantime, Mom sends her love and thanks to you for your kind words and understanding. We will return soon...

*I would not let her get on the kitchen cab where I am trying to make a casserole... she wants to stir with her paw, now she's fuming!!

  We are so thankful today for the cool weather we have been Blessed with! Miss Kitty has been zooming around the house jumping on and off the beds and having the time of her life!

 Who said cats aren't bothered by the weather?...

This smart girl sure is!!

Easy Like...

Good Sunday Afternoon To You... 

  What else can we do in this smothering heat? Kitty, Lovey & Amanda are lying in front of two fans and drinking so much water I told them they were going to burst!

 Really, 103 is a bit cooler than other days before but, it is still very hot here in Louisiana! It's hotter than a cowpoke's branding iron!! It has rained all around us in every direction (no rain since June). Hopefully, the system they are forecasting next week will reach us with rain, especially if this dreaded high pressure system will move away! 

Really, we are okay especially having our AC and fans...
  I am about the same with my sight however, I've learned how picking out one of the three things I'm seeing (because I'm seeing double), is helping me to function enough so I can do things for myself! 
 Hey, a girl has to do what she has to, right? Lol! So, I'm not staying on the computer too long, just wanted to say hello and get in touch!

Thanks so much for all your support and love...be kind to yourself...importantly, to your neighbors!

Thankful Thursday...

  I just wanted to tell you Kitty & I so appreciate of and Love each and every one of you! Just a short post...I took this pic to show you how pretty the day is here. However, it is so deceiving...at 9 AM it was near 90 degrees! We are under an excessive heat advisory...the temp will soar to 100 near noon with HX at 105 + degrees today!!! 

  

  Kitty & I have the AC, ceiling fans and later, fans going to keep cool. We are so thankful for these conveniences, but are mindful of those who do not. That is why our doors are open to our elderly neighbors who are in need. We Pray the Lord will Bless our efforts...

Good Evening Everyone, I am so glad that I had the chance to visit yesterday. I might have missed a few but please know we appreciate your being a part of our Blogging family.
  I am sorry to say, I did a bit too much yesterday trying to catch up...spending too much time on the computer is very bad for me, so I will have to stay away longer. 
  Daun is working and not able to stop by so it will be a few days before she can post again. I guess Kitty and I are anxious about posting and keeping up with you. Please know I will return as soon as Doc releases me. Thanks for your consideration...God Bless you all!

Aren't these two the cutest? I found the picture on the web and wanted to share it with you. How are you doing? This heat in the South is not only miserable but so dangerous... 107 degrees today! 

My AC seems to be struggling during the heat of the day. Some of the rooms in the house are very nice and cool, whereas one or two are very warm. 

They are the two bedrooms on the west side of the house and one of these is the master bedroom where Kitty and I are. Now that dad is home for the weekend we are changing to the middle bedroom where it is always the coolest.  

I went to see doc today and he's saying I'm improving but not losing anymore of my sight. This condition is not new to me I've gone through it before...it was 2 1/2 months before that my sight came back to normal and I'm praying that it does this time. Doc is not being very forthcoming this time, but there is one thing he hasn't taken into consideration...the power of prayer...I truly believe the Lord will be with me this time too!

  I want to thank you all for your kind words and concern and ask that you continue to send your purrs and woofs... but importantly your prayers that we come through this trial too. Thank you all so much for being part of our Blogging Family...we certainly could not make it without you and your kindness. Many Rich Blessings To You All!!
