Good Morning, Loretta Here...

   Miss Kitty and I had a nice few days off and we spent the time, after my headache gave me some relief,  finishing up trinkets for Granny. Kitty really wanted you to see our handy work with her being the subject matter. Please click pics to enlarge!

You can't have too many pincushions for gifts, right?

Kitty wanted these for Granny. They can be used as mug rugs...

  

I will use these below as pillow covers when I make pillows

A nice sewing-kit for granny...

And,   an old-fashioned door hanger, sorry it is hanging askew Kitty tried to pull it off. lol! Granny loves these...

All of the items are made from felt and other accessories sewn by hand. The patterns I drew and cut by hand. Having Missy kitty there to keep me calm and supervise I was able to have peaceful sewing/stitching days!

The Storm

   Winds were high, very high! The cracking tree limbs  and loud thuds could be heard as they crashed to the ground.  Wind whistle around the house as rain swept sideways across everything. Lightening flashed startlingly and thunderclaps were deafening! Electric went off! I listened for that horrid sound that people described when a tornado was on the ground...it never came, thank God!
  
  We saw lawn chairs, trash cans and debris flying through the air, hoping they would not  do damage. Does any of this sound familiar to you, especially if you have been through it? The storm was...Scary!
  
   Kitty hid under the bed, Lovey and Amanda ran to their crates and huddled in back of them while I was left alone to watch and protect. Through it all, we came through unscathed! But we can't say the same for outside. Here are just a few pics that certainly does not depict it all!

 This limb below fell from the neighbor's tree into our yard... yep we will have to remove it...always do!!

 The driveway had all kind of debris, including the neighbor's trash from a flying trash can full of trash, not shown!

 We are devastated by the tragic loss of lives and properties the huge storm caused in Oklahoma on Monday. 
  Prayer is needed, and at this point, the only thing that is getting these unfortunate folks through this! If only this for now...Please,

"Never trust those little two-legged rascals that walk on their knees... They are too grabby, loud, dirty and stinky! Granny always say...'No Kitty!' Me not listen, cause that little scamp whop me on head! I Meowed for Mummy to come get me and she came-a-runnin'! No more visits to Granny...all 'cause of that knee-walker!"

Update on Kitty's stay: 

  Things went okay until Kitty got tired and wanted to nap, but Braylon didn't. I had to pick her up because she wasn't having it... end of story!

Miss Kitty Visiting Granny

Good Morning...
Mummy here, Miss Kitty is with her Granny today visiting with little Braylon, our nephew.

I really don't know how this will work out since it was a total disaster when Jacob was visiting with. I suppose we need to keep introducing her to different people and situation for her to become social. I worry because Braylon is older that Jacob and plays rough. Kitty will not stand this.

I phoned Mom just a second ago and she said Miss Kitty is doing fine with Braylon. Let's hope it continues. I'd like to take the time to "Thank All of You" for your support of this blog and your wonderful, loving comments. Without a doubt, we really appreciate each and everyone of you!

Thankful Thursday

Hello All My Furriends, 
This will be my first post on, "Thankful Thursday." I finally convinced that stubborn woman to follow protocol...is not this the norm in everyday living, I ask you? I digress...

I want you to know, I sass and I get potty-mouth sometimes, but...I love that old stubborn gray-headed woman I call Mummy! When I was thrown out on the street one very hot day she took me in. ..she love me, feed me good, (especially good meatloaf), and take care of all my needs. I know I make her mad sometime, but she never show it...her just say, her loves me too much! 

  I not worry 'bout nothing because her take care and protect me. When I lay down and you see me like this...I try to think hard. What would have happened to me if Mummy not take me! Sometime my eyes get all misty wet...I can not say the words... 

 Her see me do this and her ask, Kitty sweetie, what are you thinking about? I just git sad, but her cuddle and love me and everything gets right just like that, her make it right...I no worry no more because my Mummy is here to love me! Her so special! I try not to take advantage but, sometimes I can not help it...after all, I am a cat don't you know! I so happy for my nice home and I can do a lot (and get away with it), eh...I mean, and her lets me!

My life is easy and i cared for. I eat, nap, play, groom myself, although she brush me too much, sheez...but who's complaining...not me!

Is this what a pampered pet life is? If so, I want you to know... I'm in pet heaven! And, you know what...that old grayheaded man who doesn't say much and leaves in his truck when Mum calls him...is not too shabby either! He tries to be macho-man, but I know....yeah I know he cares...a lot too!! Him cuddles me and give me tummy rub when Mum is not in room!

Yeah, looking around, I have a lot to be thankful for, and believe me furriends...I am so very grateful/thankful for my loving family...Oh, and I have sisters and brother peeps you don't even know about...they love me too! I will introduce them to you later...

As I sit and watch the world go by from my cozy window, I also wish all other homeless furriends can be so fortunate. Yeah, I have it easy...because I have a Mum and Dad who loves me just as much as I love them! (and, you didn't here that statement from me...you here?) Meow....

Mom asked me to post to let you know we are okay! We had  storms to blow through ...scary scary...I no like thunder...it was loud! No lights because of limbs and trees on lines!
  We will come back next week because Mummy and Daddy are cleaning up! I so glad...I no like this noise and Mummy not here with me... I hid under bed!

Whiffs & Sightseeing

Miss Kitty loves sitting in the window well...she is really getting her whiffs and looks today. Honeysuckle fills the air. The bird feeder keeps her busy and very alert! I kept calling until she finally decided to give me her attention. I know she is annoyed with me...see that look!

Mum Here:  Things are back to normal and Kitty is making up for all that time she spent underneath the bed.

   
  However, just before they left for the airport Jacob held Kitty in a gentle hug and kissed her head. We thought it was priceless. His mom caught it on her phone, hopefully she will send us a copy. Thanks much for your comments.

Kitty Here: I so glad that little two legged monster is gone. 
Mummy said they will be back again...I'm moving to Granny's! Mol!!

And so does Little Jacob! He is Miss Kitty's nephew and Kitty stays hid under the bed from him. Jacob is a bit too rough with pulling her ears and tail. Kitty refused to come out to help with this post so, I am alone today!

Good Afternoon, 
  Yes, I thought I would take hold of my keyboard for a change. I'm not showing you a pic of my spoiled brat kicking and screaming bloody murder on the floor because of it. Oh, it is so embarrassing... Kitty get up... stop being a kitten!!! Meow meow....

Anyway, I've thought of this to no end...maybe you can help me with it:  "Do you think our cats are domesticating us...I mean, these scamps are so good at what they do...can they be this good?"... What do you think?

On Another Note: I've been baking again! I had a taste for it...Southern Pecan Pie....mmmmm! Oh it smells so good! Wish we had smell to our blogs... this would be a nice treat!

Kitty's Play

Hey my kitty & woofie buddies I had so much fun outside yesterday. Mummy put me down on the front porch (she said she'll get some pics up later of it)  and I found my old brown bag on the table shelf. Then, it was on...

I rolled rolled rocked and bunny kicked that old bag good. Mummy sat in her chair that rocks and laughed at me. Our neighbor came to see what was going on and she laughed at Kitty too! 
 Look at my toes...they are so dirty I have to clean them...

But first I so tired...'yawn' I take nap...see you later...zzzzz!
